Pair With : Aristocats Soundtrack - Everybody Wants to be a Cat
Arthur Sarnoff is an artist whose work you sometimes come across. While not the original "dogs playing poker" artist, Sarnoff certainly took that whimsical approach to many of his original illustrations. Through his career, Sarnoff took commercial work for brands such as Coors, Vicks Vapo Rub, Lucky Strike and even an album cover for The Butthole Surfers.
Sarnoff would pass in the year 2000, but I managed to get my hands on not one, but two of his prints depicting late night outings with a crew of mischievous felines. This one, framed and in great shape, is depicting a game of cards with the classic combination of cigarettes and soda pop.
