Harvest
Harvest
This is a beautiful hand crafted crewel piece that only loses a bit of grade because the fabric has slacked over decades. Still, a beautiful haul representing the work of the summer, the fruits, er, veggies of your labours. We lived in a big massive apartment building once that had garden plots way down on the rooftop of the 7th floor. I could see them from bed up on the 39th, so one summer I requested a plot and made the effort of gardening stories above the scenic gridlocked Gardiner Expressway. I had one great haul at the end of the summer where I was able to bring up an entire big bowl full of fresh veg that I immediately used to make the most lopsided vegetable heavy, protein and noodle deficient stir fry. It was a poor and rushed use of all the time I spent on that rooftop gardening, but a learning experience nonetheless.
