Alright, this one's got a whole lot of GOATs on it. We've got the dudes from ALABAMA right below Reba, Willie looking spry on the right, the man in black himself, MR A.J. Alan Jackson, Miley's Dad and yup, unfortunately, a gentlemen in a confederate flag jacket. I want to say it's Waylon Jennings but If you've perused the twitter account of Travis Tritt lately, it definitely could be him as well (hey Trav, here's a quarter, call someone who cares).
I contemplated what to do about this eyesore and while I am absolutely in no position to start a debate about that imagery and it's ties with 'the south' in a product description blurb on my used wall décor website, I came up with a solution.
The purchase of this item will come with a complimentary sharpie. It will probably just be one of the ones I have laying around my desk but I guarantee it won't be out of ink. So you have the choice to make whatever you want of this small section of this piece of art. You own it now, and you also own this sharpie, do what you will.
I did some digging on this piece, which was done by Tony Meers, who you may be familiar with if you've ever visited The Beguiling, now situated on College street after a long time in Toronto's Mirvish Village. Tony's work is most notable from harlequin romance novel covers but he also at some point did a similar black and white Legends of Rock poster in the same vein. This Legends of Country print dates to 1993 which makes it a pretty late in the game decoupage piece, but nonetheless, a fun one despite some surface wear.
