I found a pair of these nicely framed needlepoint pieces two towns over a few months back. Alongside Eurasian Blue Tit, these pieces are an example of some of the newer embroideries I've come across, which certainly speak to the quality of the framing.

Reverse Image Searching leads me to believe these may have been from two different sets with the grey wool replacing a white background the original pattern would have suggested, a nice decision in my opinion.

Similar to the Eurasian Blue Tit, I started googling, looking for interesting things about Bluebirds, and I definitely found one that stood out.

So as much as I've gathered, Bluebirds sing as a mating call. The whole idea of hearing Bluebirds sing is part of their process of attracting a mate, and sometimes bluebirds will mate like, 3 times a season, and each time, 4-6 eggs are produced. So that's a tonne of new Bluebird's every year. So much that the Bluebird population has risen 2.4% a year since 1966. Which I suppose, is nice to hear? I mean, it's nice to hear of any animal population growing, I guess. There's probably a bunch of "dangerous" animals that maybe we don't need more of, but I'm betting Homosapien's would be on the top of both the "dangerous" and "unnecessary animals" list, and that's me, and unless you're a Gorilla that's been taught to read, that's you too, so we'll move on.

What I found the most interesting was this.

While looking for a mate, Male bluebirds will sing their songs up to 1,000 times an hour. Which is something over 16 times a minute. Which is more than once every 10 seconds.

A desperate, horny and lonely male bluebird will repeat it's tune, over and over and over again. And over again, and over again. My mind turns to Michael Scott at his desk playing the iTunes free preview section of "Goodbye My Lover" by James Blunt. Over and over. Until another Bluebird let's him have it.

Nature!
